Wooden Toy Box Bench – How to make a box for toys. In many of our houses, we find the big problem of where to store the small toys of our children, composed in most cases of small pieces that can be lost if left on the ground. We will show you on this occasion how to make a toy box, in a simple, easy and strong enough to get us out of the way. The first step is to glue the edges of pieces 1x6x42″ to prepare the cap and then press them with sergeants, put spikes on the edges for more resistant joints. Put glue on the edges of the pieces of 1x12x40″ and press them to form the bottom. Put spindles on the edges for stronger joints.
Now begin crafting the wooden toy box bench by cutting the concealed spikes 1″ long by 1/2″ thick on each side of the uprights and the ends of the transverse stringer of the backrest. Cut 1 “x1 / 2” concealed assembly pins into one end of the backrest uprights. Use a router, to make the 1/2 “x5 / 16” slot, on one of the edges of the front, rear, and side frames. Make a 1/2 “x5 / 16” slot in one edge of the side frame styles, and a 1/2 “x5 / 16” slot in one edge of the front and rear frame styles. The 5th. Stringer is the top of the backrest and does not require any grooves.

Note the interruption of the grooves before it reaches one end of the stringers so that they are not visible from the outside of the wooden toy box bench. It should fit the 5.2 mm boards, in the front and back frames, gluing and press fastening, each frame front and back to the boards. Now fit the side frames with the 5.2mm boards, glue and fasten the front and rear frames.
